Where do you backpack? Anywhere east coast? Looking for places between DC and Ohio.

I go in the rockies, near the new mexico/colorado border. I haven't had a chance to play out east, although I have seen the fall foliage in new england. Pretty friggin awesome.

Maybe try the cooks forest region near clarion pa jims. They have some nice campgrounds and good trails. Ohh, and wildlife to boot. My inlaws have a year round campsite down there and a couple weeks ago my mother inlaw got video of a bear just wondering through the campgrounds. Lol

I go to Cooks every Memorial Day with the inlaws. Wonderful trails there, though most of them are day hikes. Lots to do in Allegheny though. Monongahela also has some very nice spots.
