Scripts and Access from Non-Standard Devices

Scripts and Access from Non-Standard Devices

Postby imjimsmith » Fri Dec 11, 2015 7:20 am

Hello PE Community,

It's been a while since we have posted a topic on our rules and terms of service, and with the recent influx of new players, it seems like a good time to provide a refresher.

Phoenix Emperor was designed as a text-based RPG for phones and other mobile devices. Though we don't limit the number of devices a single player can have, we do not allow multiple accounts on a single device. We also prohibit access from non-standard devices including web browsers, emulators or unlocked/jailbroken devices which allow multiple profiles. Running scripts on mobile or web-based platforms is also strictly prohibited, and players found using these types of scripts or platforms to access the game may be subject to bans.

If you have spent any time in the forum, you can see we try and allow for an open space for communication. We disallow personal attacks, doxxing, and speech or topics intended to spread hate. The simple way to look at our policy is one of civility.

Thanks for playing our games, and thanks for taking the time to join the community in our forum.

Best Regards,

-jims

In the past people who were running scripts were swiftly dealt with. I think it goes without saying that it is a unfair advantage. I hope they are most certainly banned if caught, and not "may be". This is for old and new players alike.

I think the last player I can remember who was caught or admitted to running scripts on multi accounts was never dealt with even after players threatened to quit if he wasn't dealt with... But +1 to the idea

I believe this is the first time it has ever been said that you can't script. Too lazy to go through TOS to look though, it's way to long

I have it tattooed on my brown banana.

It's really hard to read though you need to get really close to see it.

Is it that small VP. Some are blessed and some are misfortunate. I guess you fall into the latter. :p

On the contrary the TOS is pretty long so the font is tiny not the medium which it is printed on. I also had to fit in a contract not to sue the tattoo artist which also took up some real estate, not to mention I already had a tattoo of my cat on there, so they had to work around that as well.
